"Di-Da", in
Chinese, means the sound of water dripping as well
as the sound of clock ticking. Di-Da, as
an installation, consists of three glass burettes
filled with salt water, and vinyl sheets suspended
over a 22' span. Salt water slowly drips
downward on the vinyl "steps" through
time, leaving behind salt crystal "footprints"
where water evaporates. The drips fall and
accumulate into a third burette at the bottom of
the structure. Once filled, the third burette then
is recycled to the top of the structure.
